Black seed oil (aka black cumin seed oil, kalonji oil, or nigella sativa oil) is an amber-hued oil extracted from tiny black seeds of the flowering Nigella sativa plant that originated in Southwest Asia and has been used throughout the Middle East, Africa, and Eastern Europe.

Clove leaf essential oil is obtained by the steam distillation of leaves of Eugenia caryophyllata. The oil is a free-flowing liquid that is colourless to pale yellow in colour. It has a characteristic spicy, powdery, herbal odour. Caryophyllene and Eugenol are its major components.

This oil is extracted by steam distillation of the roots, and has a spicy and peppery aroma.

It is native to Asia.
